In conjunction with the Rainbow Centre we are now running a food bank donation scheme in the school so local communities can help with the eradication of poverty. We are asking for donations of any food items which are sealed and have a long shelf-life. For example, soups, pasta, rice, tinned fruit and vegetables, tinned meat, tea, coffee and any other non-perishable items.
In the UK there are 3.7 million children living in poverty; that is over a quarter of our children who do not have access to food as we do. If every person brought one extra item per week with their shopping and donated, we could help towards the eradication.
There is a designated collection bin in reception if you wish to donate any items.
